Geometry, Trigo, and Stat: The Interactive Way

The word “maximize” meaning to take full advantage of, might be common in every Filipino high school teachers’ thoughts. That word goes along with lack of classrooms or lack of books. It is a word that can also speak volumes on Filipino’s resourcefulness.

With the proliferation of computers, it is improbable that the Internet has not invaded their consciousness. And what better way to pique this particular interest than to merge it with everyday lessons, specifically mathematics.

Some high school students easily grasp geometry, trigonometry and statistics, but most do not. However, what might help is re-presenting the same subject matters in an interactive way. This is maximizing the vast information resources of the Internet for the student’s enjoyment, and most importantly, learning.
