History Rap
If hip hop is your thing, then we will get you rappin’! Compose a
rap song for your favorite History subject. Sing about an important
person or event in the Philippine history.
Rules and Guidelines
- The contest is open to all Smart Schools Program partner high schools and elementary schools.
- Entrants must be bona fide students and/or teachers of SSP partner schools.
- Teams can have up to 3 members only, including the team leader.
- Your
rap song must use ORIGINAL lyrics and melody. Rap songs deemed
offensive, racist or containing exploitive and/or plagiarized content
will be disqualified.
- Your rap song must not exceed 1 minute. Songs exceeding the time limit will be disqualified.
- Record your rap using Windows Sound Recorder or any digital recorder.
- Audio file must be in .wav format.
- Email the audio file to sspgimmicks@gmail.com. Your email must include the following information:
- Title of Rap
- Topic of Rap
- School
- Team Leader
- Designation of Team Leader (Teacher/Student/Yr. Level)
- Contact Number
- Team Members (Complete Names Contact Numbers)
- Deadline of submission of entries is on August 21, 2009 (Friday).
- Ten
(10) rap songs will be chosen as winners. Songs will be evaluated based
on content/lyrics (40%), melody (30%), and originality/creativity
(30%).
- Winners will receive a SMART gift pack.
