service initiative of Smart Communications Inc. that promotes
Information and Communications Technology in basic education. Smart
Communications, Inc. (SMART), through its Smart Schools Program,
connects public high schools to the internet. Backed by the PLDT
Group's wide array of access and connectivity solutions, the Smart
Schools Program is a unique initiative that supports improvement
programs for our country's educational system by focusing on public
school educators. SMART believes that teachers can make the decisive
difference in improving the educational situation of our country- with
the right tools and adequate support. Through the Smart Schools
Program, we aim to help give educators access to online materials
ranging from curricula, lesson plans and other e-learning resources
developed here and abroad. Our vision: to help forge an online
community of educators and students who can help shape the future of
