  • “It’s More Fun With The Smart Schools Program” Gimmick Contest

Inspired by the Department of Tourism’s new campaign “It’s more fun in the Philippines” which became a viral meme, we will take this tourism slogan for a spin and create our own version.

As an SSP Partner or Online Associate, what are the activities that are more fun to do with the Smart Schools Program?

    Mechanics:

    1. The contest is open to all bona fide teachers and/or students from Smart Schools Program (SSP) partner schools and SSP Online Associates nationwide.

    2. Photo entry should depict any activity that you think is more fun to do with the Smart Schools Program.

    3. Photo requirements:
                • Photo must be original.
                • Photo must be in JPEG format (best resolution).
                • Image size should be 100 KB (minimum) or 5 MB (maximum)
                • Any type of camera may be used (manual, SLR, digicam, digital SLR, cellphone camera, etc.).
                • All photos must have the tagline: “_____. More fun with the Smart Schools Program”

    * Non-compliance of the requirements will merit disqualification of entries.

    4. Below are the steps on how to create your entry:
                • Find an appropriate image.
                • The tagline should be: “_____. More fun with the Smart Schools Program”
Think of a witty copy. For the purposes of brevity, it should be no more than three (3) words.
                • Download the Harabara font here. Extract the font and install it in your computer. Click here to see the steps on how to install fonts.
                • Open your preferred photo editing program (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.). Make sure to use the Harabara font for the text. Please use white only for the font color.
                • Save your image.

    Here is an example:

    5. Email your photo entries to sspgimmicks[@]gmail.com, with the subject: It’s More Fun With The Smart Schools Program

    6. Don’t forget to provide the following details on the email message:
                • Complete name
                • Contact number (preferably mobile phone number)
                • Home address
                • Grade/ year level
                • Name of school

    7. Deadline of submission of entries is on January 14, 8:59 P.M.

    8. All pictures will be uploaded on a separate album in our Facebook Page.

    9. Voting starts on January 14, 9 P.M. and ends on January 15, 11:59 P.M. To vote, go to the SSP Facebook page. Look for the “It’s More Fun With The Smart Schools Program” photo album and click “Like” on your choice of photo. (Make sure that you “like” the SSP Facebook page first.) Also “Share” your photo to your Facebook contacts.

    10. Get all your friends, classmates, and relatives to “Like” and “Share” your photo entry.

    11. Five (5) photos will be judged as winners, and another five (5) photos will be chosen as people’s choice awardees.

    12. Criteria for judging the best photos are as follows:
                • Photo ‘fit’ (Is the photo relevant to the theme?)
                • Creativity (Does the photo show originality?)
                • Overall impression (Does the photo have a “wow” factor?)

    13. The People’s Choice awardees will be chosen based not only on the number of Facebook “Likes” of their entry but also the number of “Shares.” We will add the total number of likes and shares.

    14. For the school which has the most number of qualified entries, we will be giving away a limited edition collectible!

    15. Winners will get a very special prize from Smart! We will also send winners printed version of their winning entries. List of winners will be posted in the Smart Schools Program website and Smart Schools Facebook page.
