Ilaya Elementary School (ES) is off to a good start this year with its school website winning the Smart Schools Program (SSP) Website of the Month (WOTM) award for January 2012.

Packed with ICT tools, the school website of Ilaya ES boasts of a slideshow of photos of recent school activities, a chatbox at right side, and a widget for the school's Facebook fan page. The website also look very fun and inviting with its fresh and contemporary design.

The SSP “Website of the Month” Competition is SSP’s way of recognizing the best among the school websites hosted by the program basing on the content, design, and maintenance of the site, as well as the involvement of teachers and students in sustaining the website.

Ilaya ES was up against formidable opponents: Pililla National High School, Naga Central School, and San Roque Central Elementary School.  

San Roque CES, winner of the SSP WOTM award for December 2011, bagged the Community Choice Award – a special citation for the website which garnered the highest tally of votes in the Smart Schools Online Poll.
